Education Workshops

Trio Ecossaise is committed to music education and see this as vital in enhancing the listening experience for regular concertgoers and creating an audience for the future.

Claire and Jennifer have performed extensively for ‘Live Music Now!’, a scheme which brings live performances to those who have limited access to conventional music making. Harriet has been involved in education and outreach projects with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Sinfonia 21. Jennifer also leads workshops using Kodaly techniques, working with children with autism, special needs, and with babies and pre-school children.  All three musicians have worked for the charity Music in Hospitals.

The trio are experienced in presenting interactive workshops with children from Primary 1 to Advanced Higher level, and have worked with students at Glasgow University Music Department.

"the feedback was overwhelmingly positive from the recent workshops at Annan.  The kids all seemed to really enjoy it and identified that it was too short!  They liked the range of music and enjoyed hearing what the instruments could do both individually and as a group."  Jamie Brand, Annan Academy, February 2015

"They were all excellent communicators and had enthusiastic delivery. They managed to communicate their love of music."

"my favourite part of the workshop was that everyone got a chance to do something."
